What is the nisab for zakat?+
The nisab equals 85 g of pure (24k) gold or 595 g of silver. If your wealth reaches it and you have held it for a full Hijri year, zakat of 2.5% is due.
How do I calculate zakat on 21k gold?+
Multiply the weight by 21/24 to get pure gold, multiply by today's 24k price per gram, and zakat is 2.5% of that. The calculator does this for you.
